Chiropody treatments provided: All general chiropody (corns, callous, verrucas, skin conditions, athletes foot, ulcerations, foot deformities, bunions, hammer toes, etc.)
Nail surgery - total or partial permanent removal of nail Nail conditions - thick, dammaged or fungled nails High Risk Patient - diabetics, rheumatoid or arthritic treated Heel Pain - planter fasciitis, heel spur, bruising, cracked skin around heels Biomechanical Assessments - alignment of hips, knees and ankle joints Orthotics - custom made, prescribed and fitted (arch support) Gain analysis - walking difficulties Advice - footwear and general foot care
It is important to make sure your Chiropodist / Podiatrist is registered with the Health Professions Council and is properly qualified after a three year long degree level course recommended by the Department of Education.
This will ensure that a strict code of practise will be followed and total foot care will be undertaken using advanced techniques. Continuous professional development courses have to be attended regularly to keep up to date and registered with the HPC - (Health Professions Council)
